## Conduct Leader election

The `etcdctl` command is used to conduct leader elections in an etcd cluster. It makes sure that only one client can become leader at a time.

`etcdctl --endpoints=$ENDPOINTS elect <election-name> [proposal]`

```shell
./etcdctl elect my-election proposal1
